Welcome to West 40
The West 40 area is the Hwy 40 corridor west of Steamboat and combined together with the West Steamboat area. It begins at RCR 129 (Elk River Road) to the west just past the town of Milner. The West Steamboat area starts in the Steamboat city limits and heads west along the Yampa River and Hwy 40. Homes often have views to Sleeping Giant, Steamboat Ski Area north to Soda Mountain or Hahn’s Peak in the distance, or the Saddles.
Homes in the West End neighborhood, Silver Spur, Heritage Park and Steamboat II give way to rolling hills and pastoral lands west of town. The landscape can be anything from scrub brush to aspen groves to cottonwoods by the river.
